Here is the procedure for hiring in the Republic of Belarus. When hiring people with disabilities, young professionals, persons under 18 years of age and other specific categories of workers, additional requirements established by law must be taken into account.

Step 1. Obtaining the necessary documents from the employee
The employer is obliged to demand, and the employee must present the following documents:
- Identity document.
As a rule, such a document is a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus. In practice, the employer usually keeps copies of the last two pages of the passport, as well as the registration page.
In the absence of a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, the employee can present the employer with a residence permit in Belarus or a refugee certificate.
- Labor book (with the exception of newcomers and part-timers).
It is important to check that on the date of hiring, the work record contains information about the employee's dismissal at the old place of work.
The work record book must be kept by the employer for the entire time of work in this organization. At the request of the employee, the employer is obliged to issue a receipt for the receipt of the work book.
A work book must be issued for each employee who has worked in the organization for more than five days. If the employee has a work book of a foreign state, it is necessary to issue a Belarusian work book of the established form.
- Military registration document (conscript ID or military ID).
All men, regardless of age, must have a military registration document, as well as women with medical education. A copy of the document must be left with the employer.
- Education document (in the presence of).
A copy of the education certificate must be left with the employer.
- Insurance certificate of state social insurance (with the exception of persons who have not previously received such a certificate).
- Photo 3 x 4 cm for registration of a personal file.
- Other documents confirming the circumstances related to the work, if their presentation is provided for by law.
The employer has the right to request a description of the employee from previous jobs. Previous employers are required to provide a testimonial within five calendar days from the date of receipt of the request.
When concluding an employment contract, it is forbidden to demand documents that are not provided for by law.
Step 2. Registration of documents required for employment

Step 3. Familiarization of the employee with the local regulations of the employer

Step 4. Conducting an introductory briefing on labor protection
The employee must sign for the conduct with him introductory briefing on labor protection.
Step 5. Making a record of employment in the employee's work book
